Marilyn K. Meininger, 60, passed away early Thursday, August 18, 2011, at the inpatient hospice unit at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley following a short illness. She was born August 7, 1951, in Brush, to Melvin and Rachel Meininger. Marilyn graduated from Brush High School in 1969. Shortly after graduation, Marilyn moved to Greeley where she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. John Seuell. While working there, Marilyn met Kevin Plowman and began her dental laboratory training in 1977. In 1983, Marilyn and Kevin were married and then later divorced. They remained business partners and worked together for 35 years. Marilyn was the manager and partner of the Greeley Dental Arts. She was a master at her work, specializing in dental implants, crowns, and bridges. She touched many people around her with her friendly personality. She loved to read, watch theatre plays, and jazzercise. She also enjoyed visiting with her family and many friends. She was a member of the Immanuel Congregational Church in Brush. Survivors include her Mother, Rachel Meininger of Brush; 3 sisters, Sharon Holmes of Brush, Joan Beyer of Aurora, CO, and Laurie Freeman of Clarksville, TN; 2 brothers, Melvin Meininger Jr. and Timothy Meininger both of Brush. She is also survived by her former husband, Kevin Plowman of Greeley. She is preceded in death by her father, Melvin Meininger. A memorial service will be held in Brush on Monday, August 22, 2011, at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Congregational Church, 209 Everett Street. The service will conclude at the church. There will also be a memorial service in Greeley on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at 10:00 AM in the courtyard at Bitter Sweet Square, 3400 West 16th Street.
