Marilyn Sue Tomlin, 79, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 at East Morgan County Hospital in Brush, CO. Sue was born November 26, 1935 in Winslow, Indiana to Elwood and Mildred Jones. Suzie, as she was affectionately called, graduated from Winslow High School in Winslow, IN in May of 1953. She met and married the love of her life Richard (Dick) Spradlin from Petersburg, Indiana. He preceded her in death August 7, 1968. She remarried and she and her new husband and children moved to Colorado in 1971 where she worked at and retired from Lucent Technologies. She spent the rest of her life enjoying traveling with friends and family exploring the scenic west. Sue enjoyed floral arranging, flower gardening, doing crafts, especially artistic painting, and bargain shopping at garage sales. Her favorite time was spent with family and friends. She is survived by two sons, John (Jeana) Spradlin and Larry (Rose) Spradlin; one daughter, Glenda (Rick) Olson; one brother, Don (Tanya) Jones, one half-sister, Linda Pettijohn; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Also many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at 3:00 PM at the All Saints Lutheran Church at Eben Ezer. The service will conclude at the church. The Heer Mortuary and Crematory in Brush, CO. is entrusted with cremation arrangements.
