Mario N. Herrera, 27, former local resident, died Thursday, March 16, 2017 in Loveland.

Mario was born October 5, 1989 in Fort Morgan. He had been employed at Cargill in Fort Morgan prior to moving to Loveland where he worked at Oldcastle Precast at the time of his death.

Mario was deeply transpired by music. He especially loved playing his guitar. He also enjoyed fishing. Family and friends were very important to Mario and he treasured spending time with them.

He is survived by his mother, Celeste Kane and husband, Richard Jr. of Fort Morgan; his father, Jesus Herrera of Brush; two brothers, Jesse Herrera Jr. and Richard Kane III; and his sister, Karla Kane, all of Fort Morgan; his maternal grandfather, Mario Moreno and wife, Susan; and his maternal grandmother, Jenny Yanes, all of Greeley.

Mario was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 23rd from 4 – 6 PM with recitation of The Holy Rosary at 6 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan.

A funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 24th, also at the Heer Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
