Marion L. Meracle, 73, life resident of eastern Colorado, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Denver. He was born October 13, 1933, in Stratton, CO, to Alton & Minerva Meracle. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Prior to retirement, Marion worked as a roustabout in the oil fields. He enjoyed working on his farm, tinkering with old fishing, and raising animals, especially peacocks, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his children, Donna Stringham of Merino, CO, Tammy Waffs of MO, Jeff Meracle of PA, Thad Meracle of CO, Shannon Meracle of Greeley, CO, and Tracy Meracle of Snyder; 1 brother, Jim of Portland, OR, 3 sisters, Diane Krehmeyer of WA, Nancy Younger of Greeley, and Joyce of UT; 19 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Daniel, 1 brother, Tom, and his parents. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 28, 2007, at the interment chapel at the Brush Memorial Cemetery at 9:00 AM. Military honors will be given by the Brush VFW #3551
