Marjorie Jean Chapman of Hillrose, Colorado passed away May 15 ^th , 2023. She was born May 24 ^th , 1937 in Sterling, Colorado to William and Bertha Asnicar.

She was a woman of great faith, whose life was a devotion in service to her Lord, His Church, her family and to others. Marj greatly disliked strangers and was unable throughout her entire life to find one. She loved gardening, cooking, watching sunsets and riding her motorcycle. But most of all she enjoyed people. She always saw in others their dignity and beauty. Her cheerful and kind presence will be greatly missed. In life, her only enemy was dirty windows. Hers was a life well lived.

She is survived by sons: Jack Chapman, Robert Chapman, and Don (Christy) Chapman; daughter Jill Drake (Michael); grandchildren: Brad Chapman, Ky Chapman, Colt Chapman, Gage Chapman, Madison Crego (Justin), Willow Daughenbaugh (Tyler), Joseph Chapman, Charlotte Chapman, Brynn Drake, Hayden Drake, and Jase Drake; great granddaughter, Reagan Daughenbaugh; sister Dorothy Asnicar and brother William Asnicar, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Chapman, parents William and Bertha Asnicar, great granddaughter, Weslie Daughenbaugh, and sister Delores Fountain.

A viewing will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 with the recitation of the Holy Rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Brush on Monday, May 22nd. Mass of Christian burial will occur Tuesday, May 23rd starting at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church (340 Stanford St.) in Brush. Interment will follow at the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
