Marjorie A. Shelton, 64, lifelong area resident, died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at her home in Brush. She was born October 3, 1945 in Ft. Morgan to Jacob and Irene (Frye) Schantz. Marjorie attended the Trinity Baptist Church in Brush. She enjoyed country and western music and riding horses. She also enjoyed dogs, birds, (she had parakeets), and gardening. Marjorie wrote poems, liked to sketch and was fascinated with unicorns. She was a hard worker and loved her family. She is survived by three daughters, Brenda Haskin of Aurora, Jamie Shackton of Littleton and Judy Heel of Englewood; one brother, Jack Schantz of Evans, CO; two sisters, Linda Schooley of Milliken and Barbara Miller of South Dakota and six grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Kimberly Shelton, her sister, Pat Irey and brother, Paul Edward Schantz. A memorial service will be Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 1:00PM at the Trinity Baptist Church in Brush. The services will conclude at the church.
