Marjorie Simpson, 78, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008, at the inpatient hospice unit at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born December 29, 1929, in Gallatin, MO, to John & Coreen Harper. On October 17, 1952, Marjorie married Robert "Buddy" Simpson in Chillicothe, MO. In 1968 the Simpson family moved to Brush. While living in Brush, Marjorie worked as a care giver at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center for many years. Following Buddy's death in 2006, Marjorie moved to Greeley. Marjorie was an avid Bronco fan, loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed cooking, sewing and decorating her home. Survivors include her 4 daughters, Mrs. Garry (Carroll) Patton of Greeley; Mrs. Mark (Debra) Dammann of Silverlake, MN; Mrs. David (Darla) Hanke of Hamburg, MN, and Laura Herrera of Northglenn, CO; 3 sisters; 17 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband. 3 sisters, 6 brothers, one great grandson (Xavier), one son-in-law, Lorenzo Herrera; and her parents. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at 11:00 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
