Martin T. Almeraz, 67, life resident of the Brush community, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015. Marty had been in failing health for several months. He was born July 31, 1948, in Brush, to Frank & Connie Almeraz. Marty graduated from Brush High School in 1966. Shortly after he enlisted in the National Guard. After his active duty training, Marty went to barber school. He worked in several Morgan County barber shops over his career. He was a member of the American Legion Sagebrush Post in Brush. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed cheering for the Denver Broncos. Survivors include his 3 children, Troy, Eric and Sarah; and his 2 sisters, Frances Vasquez and Virginia Rodriguez. He was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife, Susan. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 6th, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. The Heer Mortuary & Crematory is entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
