Martin
Garcia
Mar 21, 1961 — Feb 8, 2026
Martin Garcia was born on March 21, 1961, in Brush, Colorado, to Pauline Gonzalez and Frank Garcia, a place he continued to call home until his last day. He passed away on February 8, 2026, in the comfort of his home in Brush. It is with heavy hearts that we announce his passing.
Martin was a hardworking, kind man and a friend to anyone who needed one. He will forever be remembered for his devotion to his family, his willingness to always help a friend, and his strong, prideful work ethic. He took great pride in everything he made and truly enjoyed the work he did.
One of the ways many will always remember Martin is seeing him riding his bike through town with his daughter in tow. If you saw him, you saw her. It was a simple moment, but it spoke volumes about the love he had for his family and the way he showed up every day.
Martin spent over 40 years working in construction, a career that reflected his dedication, skill, and perseverance. Above all else, he loved his family deeply. He cherished his daughter and grandchildren, and he loved his wife, the woman who stayed by his side to the very end.
Martin is survived by his daughter, Rebecca; his wife, Wanda; his stepdaughter, Breanna; his grandchildren, Victor, Ava, and Hunter; his brothers, Frank Garcia and Joe Acosta; his brother-in-law, Lance Green; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Medina; his father, Frank Garcia; his sisters, Mary Hinojos (Rudy) and Pauline Green; and his brother, Mauro Gonzales.
A funeral service and reception will be held on Friday, February 13, at 11:00 a.m. at the Carrol Building, 418 Edison St., Brush, CO 80723.
An honorable man, Martin Garcia will always be remembered for the life he lived, the love he gave, and the legacy he leaves behind
