Marvel J. Lehr, 70, 50 year resident of the Wiggins Community, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013. She was born May 7, 1943, in Phillips County, KS, to Elmer & Nora Kuhlmann. Marvel married Darrel Lehr on April 22, 1962, in Kensington, KS. In 1963 the Lehr family moved to Wiggins. Marvel worked as the office manager for Wiggins Telephone Association for over 24 years. She also owned and operated an upholstery shop for several years. Additionally, Marvel drove a bus for the Wiggins School District. She was a very active member of the Wiggins Community Church, loved to travel with her husband, enjoyed quilting, oil & water painting. Her favorite activity was spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Darrel of Wiggins; 1 daughter, Corina Mayberry, and her husband Tim, of Castle Rock, CO; 2 sons, Rick of Wiggins and Wendel and his wife, Rhonda, of Hardin, MT; 1 brother, Otto Kuhlmann of Wiggins; and 9 grandchildren. She was looking with great anticipation to the upcoming birth of 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, June 3, 2013, at 10:30 AM at the Wiggins Community Church. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan on Sunday from 2- 5 PM.
