Obituary

MARVIN E. DOLPH, 66, of Orchard, died unexpectedly Monday, July 27, 2009 in Bismarck, ND. He was born June 15, 1943 in Brush to Warren & Virginia (Bourquin) Dolph. Dolph served his country in the U.S. Navy. He married Constance Thompson in Fort Morgan on June 11, 1965. He worked for Hamlin Electric in Fort Morgan for twelve years before taking a job with Western Area Power as a line supervisor which he did for 34 years before his retirement in 2007. After retirement he began working as a line inspector for Delmont Power. Mr. Dolph enjoyed hunting and fishing, but he especially enjoyed his work. He is survived by his wife, Connie Dolph of Orchard; his son, Warren "Pete" Dolph of Fort Morgan; four daughters, Coleen Dolph of Kremmling, CO, Kelli Breinig of Arapahoe, NE, Cathleen Nelson of Odenton, MD, and Kimberly Heusman of Gothenburg, NE. He is also survived by two brothers, Rick Dolph of Fort Morgan and Ted Dolph; five sisters, Deb Baltazar of Fort Morgan, Nica Bailey and Sharon Baker, both of Brush, Barb Wirth of Pennsylvania, and Vickey McLamb of Grand Island, NE; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Pat Harris; and his granddaughter, Kylee Buhring. A memorial service will be Saturday, Aug. 1st at 1:00 PM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude at the chapel with military honors by the V.F.W. Post 2551, Fort Morgan. Memorial gifts may be made in Dolph's name in care of the Heer & Dahl Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan, CO 80701.
