Marvin Dale Peters, 72, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 in New Raymer, CO. He was born December 91, 1944 in Ogallala, NE to George & Edith Peters.

Marvin enjoyed hunting and fishing. He worked as a mechanic for several years in his own shop as well as working in other shops.  He also drove a school bus for Goshen County School District for a few years.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Atkens of New Raymer, step-children, Brian Atkens, Julie Clark and family of Alamosa, CO, Jerry Bellis Jr. and family from Brush, CO, Jamie Calder and family from Alamosa, CO. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley (Arnold) of Sidney, NE, two foster sons John (Valerie) Waddle of Scottbluff, NE and Luis of WY.  He also had numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 10:00 AM at the New Raymer Community Church. The service will conclude at the church.  Inurnment will be at Fort Laramie, WY at a later date.  The Heer Mortuary is entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
