Mary E. Ethier, 81, passed away suddenly early Saturday, May 16, 2009, in the emergency room of the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. She was born January 17, 1928, in Okahumpka, FL, to Harley & Mamie Halligan. Mrs. Ethier was in Fort Morgan visiting her family when she passed away. She has lived in Elk City, OK for the past 17 years. Prior to retirement, Mary worked as a certified nurse assistant. Mrs. Ethier never met a stranger – she enjoyed visiting with people. She also enjoyed rubber stamping. Survivors include her children, Sharon Clark and Morris Wager both of Fort Morgan, Cathy Hubbard of Elk City, OK, Marguerite Halm of Aurora, CO, Lois Vigneur of McCook, NE, Stanley Reynolds and Maresse Wager both of New York; 2 sisters, Betty Reynolds of New York, and Doris Hall of Florida; 36 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and great – great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Wager Sr., 3 children, Ochessa Blackburn, William Wager and James Wager; 1 brother, James Halligan; 1 sister, Lois Dalbec; and her parents. A private family celebration of Mary's life will be held at a later date.
