Mary Ruth Gonzalez, 53, longtime Fort Morgan resident, died Friday night, January 7, 2011 at Valley View Villa Care Center in Fort Morgan. Mary was born September 3, 1957 to James and Betty (Reed) Emmitt in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Mary enjoyed quilting, crocheting, camping, fishing and hunting. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 19 in Fort Morgan. Survivors include her parents, James Emmitt of Arkansas, Betty Bowen of Fort Morgan, one daughter; Marlena Yanez of Fort Morgan, three sons; Jimmy Martin, Jerry Martin both of Fort Morgan and Ryan Gonzalez of Wheatland, Wyoming, two sisters; Diana Segelke, Debora Loomis both of Fort Morgan and eleven grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM at the Life Fellowship Church in Fort Morgan.
