Maria Magdalena Hinojos, 65, passed away of natural causes at University Hospital in Aurora, CO on July 24, 2017.  She was born October 25, 1951 in Brush, CO to Frank and Pauline Garcia.

Mary is survived by her three children, Andrea Campa, Naomi Reynolds, and John Sebastian Hinojos; five stepchildren, Martha Valles, Maria Luisa Estrada, Luz Hernandez, Martina Hinojos, and Samuel Hinojos; all of Brush, CO.  At the time of her death she had twenty six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Adolfo.

Mary lived her whole life in the Brush and Snyder area.  She married Adolfo Hinojos in January of 1975.  They were together until his death in August 2015.  She worked in the motel business for 36 years.  She served God her Lord and Savior at the same church, Spanish Assembly of God in Fort Morgan, for 41 years.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, she loved to read, do crossword puzzles, and she loved to watch Blue Bloods because Tom Sellick looked a lot like her beloved husband.

She was the rock of the Hinojos family after Adolfo passed away.  She will be greatly missed.  No other person will be able to fill her shoes.

Visitation is Thursday July 27, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Heer Mortuary Brush Chapel followed by Funeral Service at 6:00 PM.  Interment will be held at Brush Memorial Cemetery Friday July 28, 2017 at 1:00 PM following a small visitation from 12:00-1:00 PM at the Heer Mortuary Brush Chapel.
