Mary Lavon Hulkovich, 70 passed away at her home on December 4, 2006.
Mrs. Hulkovich was born in Anton, Colorado on March 8, 1936, to Cyril Jarrett and Fern Jones. She attended elementary school in McCook Nebraska, and later moved to Otis, Colorado, where she graduated from Otis High School in 1954. After graduation she moved to Denver and worked for Davis Brothers Drug Company until her marriage. She was married to Pete Hulkovich on January 7, 1956 in Denver.
The couple made their home and farmed near Hillrose for 15 years moving to a farm east of Fort Morgan in 1971. Mary worked at Ranch Wholesale and Salisbury Supply as a book keeper and later at Ready Stick Products. In 1991 they left the farm and moved into Fort Morgan.
Mary enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren's many activities.
Mrs. Hulkovich is survived by her husband, Pete and her children Kerry and his wife Sheri Hulkovich and Karon Nab, of Fort Morgan. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Shawn and Kevin Axtell of Fort Morgan, Kristen (Hulkovich) Bernhardt and husband Michael of Loveland, Ryan Nab of Fort Morgan, Kelly Hulkovich of Fort Collins and Kayla Hulkovich of Fort Morgan.
She is survived by her sisters, Janet Clodfelder of Akron, Co, and Linda Gavin of Greeley, her brother, Dave Brown of Akron, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jim Brown.
As Mary requested, the immediate family will hold a private service at Serenity Falls Columbarium at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2006.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Fort Morgan Federal Credit Union in Mary's name.
Heer Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
A picnic honoring her life is planned for Saturday, June 30 th at Kerry and Sheri's home.
