Mary Hernandez-Gonzalez Jimenez, 91, longtime Morgan County resident, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Bonell Good Samaritan Center in Greeley. She was born August 4, 1919, in Louisiana to Jacinta Hernandez Gonzalez. In 1942, Mary married Antonio G. Jimenez in Fort Lupton, CO. Prior to retirement, Mary worked as a cook in area restaurants. She enjoyed fishing, quilting and crocheting, reading, and dancing and visiting (especially at the VFW). Mary enjoyed living on the farm. She really enjoyed being with farm animals too. Survivors include her children, Arturo of El Paso, TX, Veronica Martinez of Evans, CO, and Carla Marquez of Denver; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 grandsons, 7 brothers & sisters and her parents.
