Mary Ann (Hood) Lake

August 3, 1950 - July 3, 2024

Mary Ann (Hood)Lake, a longtime resident of DeLand, Florida, passed away in Colorado on
July 3, 2024, at St. Anthony North Hospital. Born Mary Ann Hood on August 3, 1950, in Malden,
Massachusetts, she brought a touch of wit and laughter wherever she went.

Mary is survived by her children, William David Lake of Deland, Florida, Veronica Myers (Lake)
and her husband Terry, and Jason Lake of Fort Morgan, Colorado. She leaves behind cherished
memories for her grandson, Justin Lake, and great-grandson, Ethan Lake.

Mary leaves behind a loving family including her brother Lawrence Hood of Malden, MA, and
sister Machelle Geary of Norton, MA. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Catherine
(Piccerilli )Hood,and brothers John Hood Jr. of Malden, MA and Francis Hood of Manitowoc, WI.
Mary will also be missed by her extended family, including nieces and nephews.

Mary graduated from Malden High School and after moving to Florida had a successful career
at ECC and Kaman Dayron as a weapons assembler until her retirement in 2012. Mary found joy in
elephants, especially their raised trunks symbolizing good luck and happiness. She loved the
color pink and was fascinated by astrology. Most importantly, Mary's greatest joy came from her
unwavering love dedication to her son, Jason.

In keeping with Mary's wishes, no memorial services will be held.

Mary will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
