Mary Louise LaPorte, 87, died Friday, February 1, 2013 at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. Mary was born May 10, 1925 in Miamisburg, Ohio to Harry and Margaret LaPorte. She moved to Ft. Morgan about 25 years ago from Dayton, Ohio to be closer to her son John. Mary was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ft. Morgan. She enjoyed crafts, embroidery, camping and fishing, reading, and belonged to rock hound clubs in her earlier years. She also volunteered at the Ft. Morgan library by helping with classes, setting up displays and being a greeter. Mary loved her family and they were very important to her, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her son John LaPorte and wife Paula of Ft. Morgan, grandchildren, Chris LaPorte and wife Nicole of Brush, and Ryan LaPorte of Ft. Morgan, great grandchildren, Caleb Alexander, and Katlyn, Ethan and Jonah LaPorte. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 10:30 am at the United Methodist Church in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.
