Obituary

Mary Margaret Musgrave, 78, longtime Hoyt resident, died December 27, 2009 at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora. She was born July 5, 1931 in Greeley, CO to Verne and Amy (Mudgett) Schade. Mary graduated from Ft. Morgan High School in 1949. She married John H. Musgrave on September 30, 1950 at the First Presbyterian Church in Ft. Morgan. He died in 1986. She lived in Leader, Deer Trail and Adena before settling in Hoyt where she had lived the last fifty-six years. Mary was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Ft. Morgan and attended the Hoyt Sunday School. She was also a member of the Home Circle Club,she was the secretary for the Hoyt Community Center and was treasurer for the Hoyt Cemetery Association, was in the extension club, was an organizer and coordinator for the Hoyt Jr. Fair and was a 4 H Leader. Mary enjoyed farming, traveling, reading, sewing, knitting and quilting. Survivors include one daughter, Pam Jackson of Ft. Morgan, three sons, Mike Musgrave of Loveland, Roger Musgrave of Hoyt and Jim Musgrave of Wiggins, two sisters, Dorothy Linnebur of Strasburg and Jean Velasquez of Golden, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, two brothers, Jack and Jim Schade and two grandchildren, Jody Musgrave and Rocky Pharris. Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the United Presbyterian Church in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow in Hoyt Cemetery. Memorial Gifts may be made to either the Hoyt Cemetery Association or to the Hoyt Community Center. The Heer & Dahl Mortuary & Crematory in Ft. Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
