Obituary

Mary A. Romero Lujan was born April 22, 1932.  She passed away peacefully at her home on June 18, 2021.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Mary always had a smile and a hot meal and a helping hand for everyone.

She was born in April 22, 1932 in Las Vegas NM to Lena Lujan. She was a resident of Fort Morgan since 1966 and married to Federico Romero. Mary worked at the Fort Morgan high school for 6 years as a custodial worker.
Mary is survived by her sons, David Romero (Libby), Andy Romero, Richard Romero of Fort Morgan; daughter, Mary Torres of Aurora, 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She was loved by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Federico Romero; son, Fred Romero; daughter, Martha Romero; her mother, Lena Lujan; sisters, Sarah Romero, Gloria Lujan, and son in law Ernie Torres, and daughter in law Rita Romero.
Recitation of The Holy Rosary will be on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 10:00 AM At Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan followed with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
