Mary Elyn Sachs, 88, longtime Brush area resident, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012. She was born February 21, 1924, in Long Beach, CA to Hugh & Maud Bolinger. Mary Elyn graduated from Brush High School in 1942. In 1945 she married Paul Sachs in Brush. Mary Elyn worked as the court clerk for the 13th Judicial District for 25 years. An avid sports fan, Mary Elyn enjoyed watching professional sports, crocheting and doing embroidery work. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed family vacations. She was an active member of the East Morgan County Hospital Auxiliary for many years. Survivors include 3 sons, Tom of Denver, Bob of Wiggins, and Alex of Brush; 1 sister Bette Tomasini of Fort Collins, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 sister, Dorothy, and her parents. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Brush.
