MARY SOTO, 86, longtime Fort Morgan resident, died Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood. She was born March 3, 1926 in Floresville, TX to Eugenio & Antonia (Flores) Maruquin. She married Marcelino Soto in 1943. They moved to Fort Morgan from the Lubbock, TX area in 1966. Mrs. Soto was a member of Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. She was a hardworking woman and she loved her family dearly. She especially liked helping others and spending time with her grandchildren. Mary loved to crochet and sew. She was a master seamstress. She also liked gardening and she loved her dogs. Survivors include her children, Art Soto and his wife, Virginia of Fort Morgan, Irene Reyes and her husband, Felix of Petersburg, TX, and Jovita Reyes and her husband, Lupe Sr. of Levelland, TX. She is also survived by 4 sisters, 3 brothers, 19 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 brothers; and her children, Richard, Ray, Adam, Adam, Olivia, and Sally. Visitation will be from 2 -7 PM with a Rosary Vigil beginning at 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 27th at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, December 28th at Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan.
