Mary Lou (Buchanan) Wright, of Fort Morgan, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, June 10, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.

Mary Lou graduated from Weldon Valley High in 1964. She married Kenneth D. Wright from Orchard in 1966. They had two sons, Kenneth L. Wright of Fort Morgan, and Brenton D. Wright of Brush; eight grandchildren, Dylan, Brendan, Colby, Treyton, Madison, Dorean, Kayla, and Tony; two great grandchildren, Kymber and Dante.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Buchanan Sr. & Louemma (Brenton) Buchanan; one sister, Mildred Havens; seven brothers, Robert, Elmer Jr., William, James, Brenton, Frank, and Ray Buchanan.

She is survived by one brother, Howard (Doug) of Harlington, TX; her spouse, Kenneth D.; sons, grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, sister in laws, and loving friends.

Mary Lou was happiest spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed working in her yard, traveling, and playing cards. She loved the mountains, moose, humming birds, and snap dragons. One of her favorite songs was "Somewhere Over the Rainbow".

She has requested to be cremated with no services.
