Matthew Mielnicki, 78, passed away on Thursday, April 21 ^st at his home in Brush, Colorado. Born in Syracuse, New York to Walter and Myrtle (Young) Mielnicki on December 14, 1943. Matthew was a graduate of Liverpool High School, class of 1961. He served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a graduate of CCBI. Matthew was a chef and owner of Mielnicki's Inn in Richfield Springs, NY until 2022, when he retired to Florida.

Matthew is survived by his wife Joyce of 53 years; daughters Christine (Robert) Wilson, and Michele (Richard) Brotherton; two grandsons, Darius and Benjamin; sisters Elizbeth Reed, Edna (Daniel) Porcelli, Kateri Simmons, Martha (Kenneth) Tiss, Rhonda (Richard) Seifert; brothers, Charles (Kathleen) and Luke (Julie); and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mary Museums, Justine Poplaski and Stephanie Mielnicki; five brothers, John, Walter, David, Mark and Stephen.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
