Maureen
Kelley
Sep 26, 1975 — Apr 25, 2024
Westminster
Maureen Kelley passed away at her apartment in Westminster, Colorado on April 25, 2024. She was 48.
Maureen "Mo" Kelley was born in Pueblo, Colorado on September 26, 1975. She was the second child born to her mother Kathleen Kelley and the first child born to her father Michael Kelley. She was their only daughter. Maureen graduated from Brush High School in the spring of 1994 and lived in the Brush area for most of her life.
Maureen loved music and grew up playing the piano. It was a talent she inherited from her father Michael; and one that she became exceptionally good at, playing through her school years and beyond. Her musical love did not stop with the piano. Maureen loved to listen to music and to go out and sing karaoke with her friends. She loved to shop, loved the snow and the crisp mountain air. Most of all, Maureen loved her son, her daughter and her grandchildren.
In Maureen's late teens and twenties, she followed in her mother's footsteps, finding joy working as a CNA at several elderly care facilities in Morgan County. Later, when her mother Kathy was diagnosed with cancer and became ill, Maureen helped to take care of her mother.
In recent years, Maureen's life had been difficult; dealing with the grief of her mother and father's death and her diminishing health caused by the effects of diabetes, pulmonary hypertension and heart disease. However, these problems were offset by the birth of her two grandchildren, whom she adored.
Maureen is survived by her loving son Anthony "Billy" Kelley, her beloved daughter Mallory Kelley, two cherished grandchildren, Marie and Anthony, two brothers, Ernest Cathcart and Christopher Kelley (Tiana), three nieces, one nephew, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Maureen was preceded in death by her parents Kathy and Michael Kelley and her grandparents.
A celebration of life and memorial service will be held at a later time.
