MAURINE POLLOCK, 93, of Brush, died late Friday, February 13, 2009 at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born July 12, 1915 in Paducah, TX to William Isaac & Mabel Mary (Stewart) Guthrie. She married Byron Edward Pollock on June 11, 1937 in El Paso, TX. Mrs. Pollock lived in Lakewood prior to moving to Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush about two and a half years ago. She was a member of Military Wives. She enjoyed playing bridge and belonged to a bridge club. She liked watching old movies, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Kay Stivers of Otis; her son, John Pollock of Lakewood; her sister, Charlotte Pearson of Lubbock, TX, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Kenan Brown; her sister, Elise Estes; and her husband, Byron Pollock. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 11:30 AM at All Saints Lutheran Church at Eben Ezer in Brush. Services will conclude at the church followed by cremation. Private inurnment services will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.
