Maxine Weimer, 76, longtime area resident, died Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the Valley View Villa Care Center in Ft. Morgan. She was born June 8, 1933 in Midwest, Wyoming to Vaughn and Opal (Motes) Adams. She married Jacob D. Weimer on November 24, 1951 in Ft. Morgan. Maxine was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Ft. Morgan. Mrs. Weimer was a member of the Riverside Club, was a teacher's aid for special education students at Sherman, Green Acres and Columbine in Ft. Morgan and helped develop and was head of the PAL Lab at MCC. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, painting, gardening and taking care of her flowers. She also loved working with computers. Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Gleason of Ft. Morgan, three brothers, Leo Adams of West Jordan, Utah, Dick Adams of Riverton, Wyoming, and Don Adams of Piney Flats, Tennessee, four sisters, Barbara Gracia of Red Stone, CO, Carol Ward of Ft. Morgan, Sandra Pomeroy of Ft. Collins and Elizabeth Butler of Casper, Wyoming and three grandchildren, Marcia Gleason, Jeffrey Shaver and Dawn Shaver. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jacob and her brother Carl Adams. Memorial Services will be Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church in Ft. Morgan. Inurnment will follow in Memory Gardens.
