May D. Romero, 84, life resident of Morgan County, passed away at her home in Brush on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.  She was born to Isidro "Mike" & Frances Garcia on May 30, 1937.

May worked as a custodian for the Sands Theater in Brush for over 30 years.  She also provided child care for several families over the years.

May was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.  She enjoyed listening to music, watching television – especially watching game shows and cooking shows.  Her favorite activity was spent with her children, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, John Jr., Yvonne, Julius, Anthony, Mark, Roland, Matthew, and Loretta; 1 sister June Minton; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.  She was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter, Alexandria Mendoza; siblings Joe, Mike, Dorothy, Ernest, Gilbert, Sadie and Mary Jessica;  her grandparents, Gregorio & Victoria Nieto Romero, and Fabian & Josefa Mares Garcia.

Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday from 4 – 6 PM at the Heer Mortuary in Brush.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 20, at  10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church.  Inurnment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
