Megan Schneider, 23, life-long Fort Morgan resident, died Thursday morning near Fort Morgan. She was born March 20, 1986 in Fort Morgan to Jeff and Cindy Schneider. She graduated from the Fort Morgan High School in 2004. She then attended Otero Jr. College in La Junta, and graduated from the Colorado State University in 2009 with an Elementary Education Degree. She was teaching preschool at the Thomson School in Brush at the time of her death. She was also the Assistant Fast Pitch Softball Coach at the Brush High School. Megan enjoyed teaching her students, making crafts, and especially spending time with the love of her life, Joe Ginther, on his family farm, playing softball, and going to her brother's and sister's games with him. She is a member of the Saint Helena Catholic Church. Megan is survived by her parents, her brothers and sisters, Chelsey, Kadie, Molly, Jacob, Allie and Joey; her grandparents, Darrell and Sue Blachly; her uncles and their families, Todd and Tracy, Abbey, T.J., and Christopher Schneider; Steve and Victoria, and Samantha Blachly; and Scott and Lynn Blachly, and Issac and Joe Ward, and her world, Joe. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rosella and Joseph Schneider. A Rosary Vigil will be held on Sunday evening at 7:00 pm at the Saint Helena Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. A Celebration of Megan's life will be held on Monday at 1:30 pm at the Fort Morgan High School gymnasium. Interment will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
