Melesia Delgado, 91, of Ft. Morgan, died Thursday evening at the Valley View Villa nursing home in Ft. Morgan. She was born January 18, 1917 in Penasco, New Mexico to Juan and Teresita Marion-Maestas. She married Willie L. O'Dell in 1942, they divorced in 1954. She married Eugenio P. Delgado in June of 1961 in Ft. Morgan. She was a member of the St. Helena's Catholic Church in Ft. Morgan. Her favorite pass time was tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She always had several cats and a dog. She is survived by her daughters Theresa Padilla of Brush, Amelia Baltazar and Ofresinia "Teena" Robinson both of Ft. Morgan and one son John O'Dell of Thornton, CO. Melesia had three brothers; Solome, Cosme and Enoque. Five sisters; Simodosella, Margarita, Macolvia, Ofresinia and Aurora. She also had numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She had 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugenio, three sons Willie, Arthur and Fernando. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00-7:00 pm with a Rosary vigil service to begin at 7:00 pm at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Ft. Morgan. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 am at the St. Helena Catholic Church, 917 W. 7th Avenue in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
