Melvin Miller, 107, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at his home in Fort Morgan.

Melvin Joe Miller was born April 25, 1913 in Arkansas City, KS to Chester F. Miller and Mary (Halverstedt) Miller.

In April of 1948 he married Bertha Audrey (Polk) Oliver at Searcy, Arkansas. He was a mechanic for the Chevrolet Garage in Superior NE for many years.  He also worked many years for Hastings Irrigation in Hasting NE.  He enjoyed rock hunting and travel.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Sheila Kulhanek, whom he adopted in 1950, of York, Nebraska, Alan (Shelly) Kulhanek of Lincoln, Nebraska, Sadie Kulhanek and fiancé Tuck Graydon of Rochester, New York, and Noah Kulhanek of Lincoln Nebraska; Robert (Robin) Kulhanek of Mobile, Alabama and Cassidy Kulhanek and fiancé Zachary Welman of Chicago, Illinois, Sandra (Michael) Killian of Rockford, Illinois, Janelle (Mark) Huston of Durand, Illinois, Caitlin Huston and Christian Huston of Durand, Illinois, and Matthew (Kree) Killian, Mason and Sadie of Glen Burnie, Maryland; Glenda (Kenneth) Owens of Lakeland, Florida and David Owens of Lakeland, Florida; Emily (Brandon) Nealy, Shira, Adeline, Jude and Amelia Nealy of Sunset, Louisiana.

Also left to cherish his memory are his very special friends and extended families – The Bratrsovsky families.  They welcomed him into their families and loved him as he loved them.  A very special thank you to Nurse Beth Boettcher for taking good care of Dad for us.  You all are do greatly appreciated.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers Ernest Miller, Clarence Miller, Albert Miller and sisters Eve Blake, Pearl Critchlow, Maudie Evans, Cleda Tejida and Agnes Melton, granddaughter Hannah Owens, and son in law, Adolf Kulhanek Jr.
