Micaela Segura Villa, 89, longtime area resident, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Kenton Manor Care Center in Greeley. Micaela was born November 17, 1924 in Belton, Texas to Simon and Eusevia Segura. She moved from Texas to this area in about 1942. She married Delfino Villa on May 1, 1944 in Fort Morgan. Micaela was a member of the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Greeley. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, going to garage sales, and making tortillas. Micaela was a good mother. She loved her family and they were very important to her, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include, sons, Francisco Villa (Pat) of Winsor, Delfino Villa Jr. (Lupe) of Ft. Collins, Casey Villa (Ruth) of Greeley, Manuel Montez (Rosalinda) of Ft. Morgan, and Daniel Montez of Greeley, daughters, Judy Mecillas (Albert) of Wattenberg, CO, Lupe Gabaldon of Loveland, brothers, Raymond Segura (Pomposa) of Log Lane Village, and Joe Segura (Mary) of Ft. Morgan, sisters, Victoria Reyes of Ft. Morgan, Dominga Leon (Margarito) of Wiggins, and Petra Ruiz (Juan) of Hale Center, Texas, her brother-in-law, Miguel Villa (Marta) of Amarillo, Texas, 25 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren. Micaela was preceded in death by her husband Delfino, a grandson, Chris Villa, brothers, Max, Paul and Zenon Segura, sisters, Juaquina Aldama, and Maria Cardona. There will be a visitation at the Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan on Monday, February 17, 2014 from 3 until 7 pm followed by a Rosary Vigil at 7:00 pm also at the mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 10:30 am at St. Helena's Catholic Church in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. The Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
