Michael Austin Karr was born in Dallas, TX July 3, 1985, to the union of Mike and Patti Karr. The new family resided in Texas three years before moving to Colorado.

Michael would spend his childhood in the mountain state, growing up only a stone's throw from Buckley AFB in Aurora. As a boy Michael (or Mike as his friends knew him) enjoyed collecting Pokémon cards, playing video games, watching pro wrestling and especially tinkering with electronics. Mike's love of electronics and how they function would spark a joy for computers, a joy that would lead to a successful career in programming later in life.

Mike would enjoy a short stint with family in Wisconsin before returning to Colorado with his dad. For a time, Mike worked as a pawn broker for Advantage Pawn, but alas tragedy would strike, and Mike's father passed suddenly. He would relocate to the desert city of Las Vegas where his mother Patti resided. The heat didn't agree with Mike and it wasn't long before he once again called Colorado home.

It seems that cupid's arrow had at last struck Mike in 2016 when he met the love of his life Tiffany. The couple would make the pilgrimage back to Vegas to be near Patti, but it was not for long. Mike had landed a dream opportunity, a chance to work with computers in Portland Oregon. He would at last be doing something he truly loved, so off they went.  While Mike did love the work developing for Quickbase, and by all accounts his coworkers loved him, he was not so fond of the constant steely skies of Portland. In 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic would give rise to the "work from home" movement, and with it Mike would punch his ticket back to the Rocky Mountains.

Mike and Tiffany would settle in the tiny town of Wiggins, a location close to family for the pair. When Mike wasn't coding or 3D printing some gadget, he was becoming more fascinated with Japanese import cars. Though he never had formal training, Mike took to mechanic work like a fish to water, and it was in no time at all that he was importing right hand drive cars and getting them into tip top shape. Mike would take great pride in driving around in his restored beauties. He really enjoyed the looks he got from fellow devoted fans of the genre, not for attention, but because Mike loved getting to share them, he loved getting to make someone else's day special. Because that was Mike. He loved deeply. He wore his heart on his sleeve. He was the kind of man who himself had a better day if he knew he had made someone else's day better.

He is survived by his wife Tiffany, by his aunt Pam and by his siblings; Shir, David, Joshua, Paige and Samantha.

Mike's ashes will be spread over Lookout Mountain, where Mike felt the most thrill driving his cars over the curvy roads. He was a man who TRULY LIVED, and he will be greatly missed by all of the people whose lives he touched.
