Michael T. Winters, 63, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021, at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.  Michael was born December 29, 1957, in Loveland, CO to Dorothy & Ray Winters.

Michael married Darlene Devorss in Pueblo County in 1979.  Prior to ill health forcing his retirement, Michael drove a semi truck after he stopped ranching in 2009, which he had done most of his life in Lincoln County, near Rush, CO.  Not only was ranching his vocation, it was also his avocation – he loved being on the ranch!  He also enjoyed rebuilding and reworking windmills.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene of Brush; 3 children, Evagene (Johnathan) Winters-Varley of Rush, CO; Michael J. (Lisa) Winters Jr. of Rush, CO; and Kimberley Winters of Great Bend, KS; 1 sister, Sunceray Bailey and 5 grandchildren, Rebbekka Winters, Tyler Winters, Steve Johnson, Hannah Winters, and Emma Jo Winters.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Michael's life will be at the Kendrick Baptist Church, 2985 Co Rd K, Rush, CO  80833 at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 20, 2021.  A reception will follow the service and then all are invited to gather at the Winters cattle ranch to spread the cremated remains on the ranch he so loved.  Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Heer Crematory.  Friends who wish may make a gift to help with funeral expenses, payable to the Heer Mortuary, 222 Cameron St., Brush, CO  80723
