On September 7th, 2021, Miguel Flores, 36, passed away unexpectedly. His death has left his family, friends, and all that had the blessing of knowing him in absolute turmoil.

Miguel, meaning who is like God, was born to Elizabeth Ann Blickhahn (Estrada) and Miguel Castillo Flores on March 17th, 1985, in Pueblo, Colorado. Miguel grew up in Ft. Morgan with four other siblings.

Miguel poured his heart and soul into his work as the owner and operator of his own over-the-road trucking company. Miguel had an impeccable work ethic and extraordinary moral character.

Miguel was talented in many aspects. He played the saxophone, bowled in several leagues, was a remarkable artist and a smoke pitmaster. He was passionate about fishing, driving his Camaro on a racetrack, and firearms (including building his own). In addition, he was an avid Poker and Roulette player and enjoyed taking several trips a year to Las Vegas.

Miguel especially enjoyed the time he spent with his niece and nephews. He often had hours of words of wisdom that he shared with them and anyone else that had the time to sit and listen. Miguel investigated and studied anything and everything. His sister, Kayla, often stated how he was full of random facts and information.

Miguel touched many lives and made it a point to make all those he encountered feel important and special. His personality was infectious and grand. He showed up when it mattered, had your back, and would defend and stand up for those he loved. Miguel had planned to propose and marry his girlfriend, April Oscares.

He had plans to travel to the Philippians, Japan, and then settle down and begin the next chapter of his life.

Miguel is survived by his mom, Elizabeth Ann Blickhahn (Thomas). His father, Miguel Flores (Veronica). His brothers, Jaime Flores, PJ Estrada, River Blickhahn, and Angel Flores, sisters Kayla Ramirez (Richard) and Annette Pecina (Ludek). His beloved niece Madison Ramirez and nephews Matthew Pecina, Jaiden Ramirez, and Aaiden Ramirez, all of Ft. Morgan, as well as several stepbrothers and sisters. His grandparents Jaime and Margarita Flores of Chihuahua, Mexico, and his beloved pets Millie and Herb D. He was preceded in death by grandparents Patrick and Opal Estrada of Pueblo, Colorado.

A celebration of life will be held on October 9th, 2021, commencing at 12:00 noon, at Long Meadow Event Center 8604 Co Rd 6, Wiggins, CO 80654.
