Miguel Lopez-Maldonado, 64, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, CO. He was born January 16, 1942, in El Granienal, Puruandiro Michoacan, Mexico, to Leobardo & Maria Maldonado Lopez. The Lopez family moved to Morgan County in 1996. Prior to retirement, Miguel worked at Jensen's Onion. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Raquel of Brush; 7 children, Miguel, Armando, Marie del Carmen Garcia, Eduwijes Acosta, and Sandra Lopez all of Brush, Rafael and Salvador both of California; 10 brothers & sisters, Cruz Lopez Maldonado, Jose Sacorro Lopez Maldonado, Josephine Guillen, Jovita Lopez, Francisco Lopez and Irma Lopez all of California; Savina Lopez Maldonado, Dolores Lopez, Marguerita Lopez, and Antonio Lopez all of Mexico; and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Adrian, 1 brother and his parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 1:30 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brush. Rosary service will be at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Brush on Monday at 5:00 PM. Visitation will be from 3:00 – 6:30 on Monday. Interment will be in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
