Mike Kosman, 56, longtime Morgan County farmer, passed away on Tuesday evening, May 26, 2015 at his home, surrounded by family and friends. Mike is survived by his wife, Kerri Kosman; his children, Alex Iungerich (Juliane), Jamie Kosman, and Austin Kosman; and his grandchildren, Jadyn and Jordan, all of Fort Morgan; his sister, Kendra Hosek (Dan) of Florida; and his nieces, Katie Hosek of Arvada and Amanda Durham of Aspen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake & Claudia Kosman; and his brother, Kenneth Kosman. Mike served his community by being active on the Morgan County Fair Board and the Bijou Ditch Board. He was also head of the Morgan County Junior Sales Committee, and served as a Deacon on the Christ Congregational Church Board. Mike shared his talents through mentoring youth in volleyball, dealing Black Jack at after prom, and being active in 4-H, Ag, and the Sweet Corn Drive for Food Bank of The Rockies. Morgan County Conservationist of The Year Award and the Morgan County Board of Realtors Community Award were among the many awards that Mike was given throughout his life. Mike was a neighborhood friend and "go to person". His sense of humor and love of life will be missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed cruising, being at the fair, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and many friends. A memorial service will be at Christ Congregational Church, 730 Ensign St. in Fort Morgan on Friday, May 29th at 2:30 PM. A celebration of Life will follow at the Kosman residence.
