Mildred I. Boren, 88, area resident since 1994, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Eben-Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born March 11, 1922 in Fruita to Albert and Esther (Tegarden) Bixler. She married Thomas Boren on April 25, 1944 in Delta, Colorado. He died in 1963. Mildred loved her family and they were very important to her. She enjoyed watching birds and small animals. She also enjoyed oil painting. Survivors include her daughters, Verlene Mann and Sandalyn Boren-Garcia both of Ft. Morgan, her son, Darrell Boren of Ft. Morgan, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas one son, Ronald Boren, brothers, Marlin Bixler and Arlin Bixler and one sister, Norma Chandler. Memorial Services will be Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm at All Saints Lutheran Church in Brush. Services will conclude at the church. Memorial Gifts may be made to the Eben-Ezer Lurtheran Care Center at 122 Hospital Road, Brush, CO 80723. The Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Ft. Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
