Mildred Kammerzell, 87, died Wednesday at the Sunset Manor Care Center in Brush. She was born April 10, 1921 in La Salle, to Pete and Anna Ulrich. She graduated from College High School in Greeley in 1939. She married Henry Kammerzell December 14, 1947 in Milliken. After their marriage the Kammerzell family made their home in Wiggins where her husband farmed for many years, Henry died February 3, 2007. Mildred was a charter member of the Wiggins Community Church. When she was able, Mildred was very active in the Women's Fellowship and taught Sunday school. She enjoyed sewing and doing word search puzzles. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Arnold Kammerzell, and his wife Susan, and Charles Kammerzell all of Wiggins, her sister Emma Goodner of La Salle, one brother, Johnnie Ulrich of Platteville, five grandchildren, Jeffrey Kammerzell of Denver, Lisa Schilz of Ft. Morgan, Erin (Jeremy) Hagan of Denver, Amy (Patrick) Hiltz of Ft. Morgan and Pete Kammerzell of Wiggins, six great grandchildren Cody Harding, Mark Harding, Josh Harding, Gavin Hiltz, Connor Hiltz and Emerson Hagan. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers Henry and Jake, and two sisters Mary Walter, and Ida Knaub. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-5 pm at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:30 am at the Wiggins Community Church in Wiggins, Interment will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
