Millie Duran Baltazar, 96, went to be with the Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, March 3, 2016. She was born in Trinidad, Colo., on February 18, 1920, to Celestino and Ruth Duran. Millie lived her early life in Weldona, Colo., but spent most of her life in Fort Morgan living and working on the Baltazar family farm in northeast Fort Morgan. She was a hard working farm wife and mother. After the death of her husband, Louis Baltazar, she and her family moved off the farm into the town of Fort Morgan. She enjoyed working outside in her yard and gardening. She worked many years at Vogue Cleaners and Model Cleaners until her retirement. She then moved to Longmont near her daughter, Emily Howard.

Survivors include: two sons, Lou Baltazar of Olney Springs, Colo., Chuck (Elyssa) Baltazar of Cave Creek, Ariz.; two daughters, Emily Baltazar Howard of Longmont and Alva Baltazar (John) Hagin of Fort Collins; four grandchildren, Michelle (Bob) Lemus (Goodyear, Ariz.), Jennifer Howard (Longmont), Eric Wagner (Lafayette, Ind.) and Christine (Jeff) Maldonado (Hollywood, Fla.); and three great-grandsons, Ian and Braden Lemus and Eija Maldonado; and many nieces and nephews.

Millie was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter at birth, four brothers, Joe (of Fort Morgan), Dale, Chris and Steve Duran: five sisters, Tillie Holquin, Hermatilda Padilla, Carmen Trujillo, Lucile Ulevarri and Angelina Montoya; and her parents.

A Rosary Vigil will be held at Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan, 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016.

Mass will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan, followed by inurnment at Serenity Falls Columbarium.

Memorial donations can be sent to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Millie.
