Mollie Bose, 104, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Tuesday evening, September 17, 2013, at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. She was born July 13, 1909, in Fort Morgan, to Carl & Catherine Uhrick. Mollie attended the Morey School for three years when the Uhrick family moved to Hillrose in 1914. She graduated from Hillrose High School. Following graduation, Mollie worked at the Erickson Grocery Store for two years and then began a 43 year career of working at the Hillrose Drug Store. Mollie married Roy O. Bose on April 16, 1932, in Brush. They were married for 54 years when he passed away June 4, 1986. She loved growing flowers, was an avid reader, but her real hobby was crocheting. She sold and gave away many items to friends and family. She was a member of the Immanuel Congregational Church, was baptized, confirmed and married there. While she lived in Hillrose after their marriage, Mollie was a member of the United Methodist Church serving as treasurer for 10 years and organist for 17 years. After moving to Brush in 1988, Mollie rejoined the Immanuel Congregational Church. Mollie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 4 sisters, Lydia Beck, Lottie Uhrick, Martha George, Leona Bevelheimer; and 1 brother, Robert Uhrick. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 21, 2013, at 10:30 AM at the Immanuel Congregational Church in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
