Nancy Barrows Dinnsen, 74, passed away and was carried by Angels into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Christ Jesus on February 26, 2018 at Valley View Villa.  She was born March 14, 1943 in Osage, Iowa to Donald and Elizabeth Barrows.

Her family moved to Fort Morgan, CO in the spring of 1947.  She attended Baker elementary school, Junior and Senior High schools, graduating in 1961. Nancy was a great student, often on the student Honor Roll.  She enjoyed music and could play Piano, French Horn, Violin, and Bass.

Nancy married Robert Dinnsen May 20, 1962 with special friends Judy Sagel Miller and Connie Hanna Mechem as her attendants.  August 1962 she joined Robert in Guam in the Mariana Islands where he was stationed in the Navy.

She worked for the Civil Service Maintenance Dept. as a secretary (GS-5).  In Feb. 1965 she became a fulltime mom to their girl Susan.  Nancy returned to work in 1978 for the Hayward School District in California as an Instructional aide, Clerk typist and finally a School Office Manager.  For health reasons she retired in 1987.

Nancy loved traveling with Robert and Susan (Robert worked for United Airlines) to places like Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, Brazil, and many cities in the USA.  She loved Disney World so much they went twice.  Family needs brought Nancy and Robert back to Fort Morgan in 2005.  She was a member of the VFW Post 2551 Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors are husband, Robert and best friend of 55 years, daughter, Susan (David) Brown. Granddaughter, Andrea (Jose) Dinnsen-Bonilla and Great Grandchildren Jose III, Angel, and Mia, Phoenix, AZ.  Also Brother-in-law, Alvin (Terry) Dinnsen of Eaton, CO; nephew, Gary (Natalie) Dinnsen of Seattle, WA, nephew, Andrew (Mieke) Barrows, Grand-nephews, Jasper and Conner of Portola Valley, CA; niece, Kristen Barrows of Gansevoort, NY.  Special friends, Judy Miller, Karen Bretey, Ken and Kay Coffin, just to mention a few.

Proceeded in death by her parents, sister-in-law, Norma Dinnsen, and two brothers, Richard Barrows and Jon Bretey.

Everyone who knows her, Loves her.  A celebration of Life will be March 14, 2018 (Nancy's 75th birthday) at 11:00am at the United Presbyterian Church, 1300 E. Riverview Ave. Fort Morgan, CO 80701.  Pastor Michael Gross officiating.  Heer Mortuary is entrusted with the Cremation and Memorial arrangements.
