Nancy Jeanette Lee, 77, daughter of R. Earl Lee and Grace (Goldthorpe) Lee was born January 31, 1939 at the Eben-Ezer Hospital in Brush, Colorado.

She passed away from ill health on February 24, 2016 at the Valley View Villa Care Center in Fort Morgan.

Nancy was raised on the family farm west of Brush and graduated from Brush High School in 1957, Colorado Teacher's College (UNC) in Greeley with a BA in Education in 1961, and later added an MA in 1972. Her teaching career of 40 years began in 1961 at the old Lincoln School where her mother had taught music and art from 1928 thru 1930. Nancy taught third grade at Lincoln for five years and then taught eight years at Baker Grade School. She taught reading at Sherman Grade School and finished her career at Pioneer School in 2001.

Nancy collected children's books and donated many during her teaching career.   She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma teacher's sorority and also was a member of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

She loved music, reading, enjoyed crafts, various needlework, and was a top cook in her younger years.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, and sister-in-law Betty Harding Lee.

Survivors include her brother, Tom and best friend Ila Leavy of Greeley, sisters, Patricia Knoll (Ellis) of New Raymer, and Sharon Eaves (Rex) of Evergreen, plus numerous nieces and nephews, and (greats and one great great).

Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 1:30 PM at the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the United Methodist Church or to the Valley View Villa Care Center in Fort Morgan.
