Napoleon T. Rodarte, 83, died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at his home in Fort Morgan. He was born May 24, 1926 in Mora, New Mexico to Augustin and Gertrudes (Herrera) Rodarte. He married Mary R. Martinez on May 31, 1974 in Las Vegas, New Mexico. The Rodartes moved to Colorado from Rociada, New Mexico in 1979 and have lived here ever since. Napoleon was a member of Saint Helena Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. He enjoyed taking care of animals. Over the years he raised chickens, sheep, cows and goats. Napoleon was an unselfish man who did not complain and could make people feel less stressed when they were around him. Survivors include sons, Johnny Rodarte, Lee Rodarte and Lupe Rodarte, all of Council Bluffs, Iowa, James Mares of Greeley and Paul Mares of Julesburg, CO; daughters, Grace Ortiz of Fort Morgan, Esther Noble of Craig and Sharon Ramirez of Fort Morgan; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Gloria Lujan, grandson, Aaron Lujan and sister, Antonia Anaya. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, March 3rd, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Fort Morgan followed by a Rosary Vigil that begins at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 4th at 10:30 AM at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Brush. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan.
