Nellie Sears, 87, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015, at the Valley View Villa Nursing Home in Fort Morgan. She was born April 5, 1928 in Wheeling, MO to Fred & Rachel Nickell. Prior to retirement Nellie was as a CNA at a hospital in California. She enjoyed reading and crafts . Her most favorite time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include 3 children, George (Sally) Sears of Fort Morgan; Irma and Elizabeth Lazano of California; 12 Grandchildren, and several Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; 2 children, Jonathan and Linda Sears, her parents, and brothers & sisters. At Nellie's request, no formal service will be held.
