Norman D. Gordon, 78, longtime Morgan County resident, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015, at his home near Brush. He was born October 29, 1936, in Wray, CO, to Guy M. and Velma Gordon. Following graduation from high school, Norm joined the US Navy on February 28, 1955. After his honorable discharge in October 1959, Norm moved back to Colorado. Prior to retirement he was a boiler operator at Rocky Flats. Norm always enjoyed tinkering with things. Survivors include his children Sam, Rick and Ron; 1 sister, Sandy Bigg of Sterling, CO, 1 brother, Glade Gordon of Brush; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and 2 great - great grandsons. At Norm's request, no formal service will be held. Inurnment will be in the family cemetery lot at the Grandview Cemetery in Wray, CO on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 1:30 PM. A gathering of family and friends will be at the Brush Jaycee Building, 501 Ellsworth Street in Brush will follow at 5:30 PM. The Heer Mortuaries & Crematory was entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
