Obituary

NORMAN EVERETT WEBER, 80, of Fort Morgan, died Sunday morning, April 7, 2013 at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood. He was born June 17, 1932 in Platteville, CO to Chris & Marie (Jakel) Weber. Norm attended Wiggins schools and graduated from Wiggins High School with the class of 1950. He entered the military in 1950, serving in the US Navy in the Pacific Theater during the entire Korean Conflict from 1950 until 1954. Norm married Dorothy Jean Loose in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 31, 1952. He was in the grocery business since 1955, managing several area grocery stores before owning his own, Big T Supermarket from June of 1978 until August of 1987. Norm worked for the RE-3 School District during his semi-retirement. He officially retired in 2002. Norm was a member of Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan, a life member of B.P.O.E. (Elks Lodge #1143), V.F.W. Post 2551, and American Legion Post 19. He enjoyed reading, fishing, yard work, and spending time with and doing things for his family. Norm was an avid Denver Broncos fan. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Weber of Fort Morgan; two daughters, Debra Jean Erker and her husband Leon of Wiggins, and Donna Jo Weber of Estes Park; his sister, Janet Packer of Northglenn; three grandchildren, three step grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and four step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Charles Weber; and his infant son, Donald Weber, (twin to Donna). At Norm's request, services will be held privately. Friends may make memorial donations to Honor Flight of Northern Colorado in care of Heer Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave. , Fort Morgan, CO 80701.
