Obituary

OFELIA P. JIMENEZ, 74, longtime Fort Morgan resident died Sunday morning, April 12, 2009 at the North Colorado Medical Center Hospice Unit in Greeley, CO. She was born in Coahuila, Mexico on January 7, 1935 to Manuel & Carmen (Esparza) Patlan. She married Anselmo Jimenez on November 25, 1955 in Coahuila, Mexico. Mrs. Jimenez was a member of Saint Helena Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, and crocheting. Survivors include her husband Al Jimenez of Fort Morgan; two daughters, Carmen Jimenez of Fort Morgan and Mary Lou Garcia of Brush; three sons, Gerald Jimenez of Fort Morgan, and John Jimenez and Frank Jimenez, both of Fort Collins; two sisters, Maria Patlan of Minnesota, and Mela Salazar of Mexico; three brothers, Ramon Patlan and Nato Patlan, both of San Antonio, TX, and Socorro Patlan of Mexico; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Juan Patlan; her son, Victor Jimenez; and her granddaughter, Amanda Hollowell. Visitation will be Thursday, April 16th from 4 PM until 7:30 pm with Rosary Vigil at beginning at 7:30 PM, both at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 17th at 10:30 AM at Saint Helena Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Jimenez's name to the Heer & Dahl Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan, CO 80701
