Obituary

Ona "Wynell" Preisendorf 1939-2020

Wynell passed peacefully on 12-1-2020 and has joined her family and God in heaven.
Wynell was born 11.30.1939 in Mineral Wells, TX to Claud and Leona (Reed) Knight. She was the middle child of three along with her brother Luther and sister, Jimmie Carolyn.  Wynell always had a thirst for knowledge and graduated at the age of 16 from Mineral Wells High School and then attended Bethany Nazarene College in Bethany OK, graduating in1960 at the age of 20.

On 3.14.61, Wynell married her husband of 55 years, Roger in Fort Morgan, CO and in 1962 they had their son, David. Their door was always open to friends and family and if you were up for a game, trivia or a movie, that was the place to be. Wynell also had a love for reading, word puzzles, bowling, decorating her home, gardening, Friday night dinner's out, and Elvis Presley. She also loved to travel and returning to her home state of Texas.

She had a long and rewarding career until her retirement as a History Teacher at the Middle School in Fort Morgan, CO.
She loved her family, friends and the many students throughout the years who passed through her classroom, making a lasting impression on many, which we will all treasure.

She is preceded in death by her parents Claud and Leona Knight, her brother Luther, husband Roger, and their son David. She is survived by her sister Jimmie (Knight) and husband David Bird, granddaughter Amanda Preisendorf, In-Laws, Kathy (Preisendorf) and husband Dan Neb, Ellie Preisendorf, Nancy (Preisendorf) and husband Marshall Green, and many cousins and nieces and nephews, whom will all miss her very much.
At this time there will be no service, but a future gathering will be planned to celebrate Wynell and her life.

Love me tender, love me long Take me to your heart
